2002 – NYC Trip, tasted my first World Wide Stout at the Beeryard in PA
2000 – Honeymoon in Europe, a glorious week at Kulminator
1999 – Boston beer insanity (Bukowski’s, Sunsets, Cambridge Brewing) followed by Belgian beer insanity (‘t Brugs Beertje, Kulminator (OG Oerbier Yes!), Poechenellekelder, Orval, Westvleteren, 3 Fonteinen, Watou, Botteltje)

1993 – I moved to Austin, Texas and drank Celis and whatever decent stuff I could find. But after a while several brewpubs opened and eventually we got the Gingerman and Lovejoys

1992 – I moved to Novato, California, and managing a pizza place I offered Marin Brewing on draft and in bottles–Mt Tam Pale, Breakout Stout, Albion Amber, Pt Reyes Porter, Hoppy Holidaze.
1992 – We experiment with homebrewing (beer in a bag, then beer in a bucket–mix and stir). My friend Otto make’s a delicious spiced Mead. He and Jeff get more serious between ’92 and ’95–buying huge brew pots, wort chillers, and the like.
1992 – Father’s Office in Santa Monica becomes our bar offers more than 20 taps, including: Marin , Grants
, Anchor, Rogue, Mendocino, Lost Coast
1990 – The King’s Head in Santa Monica delivers the gateway beers: McEwan’s Export, Bass, Harp, Newcastle, Guinness
