Sunday, November 16th from 12-5pm, 16 Tons Taphouse & Bottleshop will be hosting our First Super Sunday for 2015 members only. We will be tapping 8 or more sour beers as well as pouring samples of bottles of our anniversary beers. A few of the beers we’ll be tapping are:
Russian River Temptation – A sour blonde ale aged in used Chardonnay barrels for 9-15 months then has a healthy dose of brettanomyces, lactobacillus, and pediococcus. Medium bodied with hints of oak, Chardonnay, funky brett characteristics, and a nice long sour finish. 7.5% ABV
Block 15 Brunch Blend 2014 – This is a blend of 3 different beers, 30% Honeybell, 30% Turbulent Consequence, 40% Belgian-style Tripel. Then it is aged in Cognac barrels with fresh pressed grapefruit. 8.25% ABV
Upright Late Harvest – Barrel-aged spiced brown ale. This beer uses a blend of spices to give it a nice complexity and is then barrel-aged for around a year. Wine-like and slightly tart this is a beer unlike any other. 7% ABV
Logsdon Far West Vlaming – A red ale brewed in the West Flanders style with a select variety of yeast and lactic bacteria. It is then aged in oak barrels for a period of time to develop complex richness, soft tannins, and fruity, tart character. 6.5% ABV
Bend Brewing Ching Ching – Brewed as a berliner weisse style, this beer won a gold medal at GABF 2013. It is brewed with pomegranate and hibiscus creating a light and refreshing, tart beer with a slight spice note. 4.5% ABV
